WHO ARE WE AND HOW TO FIND US?

The Rugby Amateur Transmitting Society provides a meeting point for all radio amateurs and shortwave listeners in the  Rugby area.  Within the club there are people with a wide range of interest and experience in all fields of amateur radio, computing and electronics.

Currently, we run Foundation and Intermediate Amateur Radio courses and examinations and hope to add Full licenses to this in the near future.

The Society meets at its Clubhouse in Brownsover from 14:00 – 18:00 on Saturday afternoons. Tuesday evening meetings are usually held when not conflicting with UKAC contests.

If you want to know more about the RATS or its activity, please contact RATS Secretary

The Society holds three club callsigns, G3BXF, which was granted in 1948; G4APD and G7APD.  Until recently we have provided facilities for members to operate on all bands from the old clubhouse at Rugby Radio Station and take part in contests.

Our new clubhouse room, built in conjunction with a local Scout group, enables us to continue multi-band operations as before.   The club also owns a very comprehensive range of test equipment.

The club runs repeaters, field day events, contest entrys and an annual rally.

Visitors and prospective new members are always welcome to attend any of the club meetings.  Please see Membership Information for more details.
